𝗕𝗬 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗧𝗔 𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗘,
𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗮, 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commenced its 2026 recruitment exercise for Airmen and Airwomen, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for enlistment into the Service.

The recruitment is being conducted under the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 47/2026, with applications open to candidates seeking enlistment under the Tradesmen/Women and Non-Tradesmen/Women categories.

According to the recruitment guidelines, the online application opened on Thursday, September 3, 2026, and will close on October 14, 2026.

The NAF said the recruitment exercise is free of charge, warning prospective applicants against individuals or agents demanding money in exchange for recruitment slots.

Eligibility Requirements

For the Non-Tradesmen/Women category, applicants must be between 18 and 22 years of age as of March 1, 2027, while candidates applying under the Tradesmen/Women category must be between 18 and 27 years by the same date.

Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and must meet the prescribed medical, physical and psychological fitness requirements.

The minimum height requirement is 1.66 metres for male applicants and 1.63 metres for female applicants.

Candidates applying under the Non-Tradesmen/Women category are required to possess at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in relevant examinations.

For Tradesmen/Women applicants with ND or NCE qualifications, the certificates must be obtained from accredited institutions, alongside the required credits in examinations including WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB or NBAIS.

Candidates applying for trades requiring a Trade Test certificate must possess the relevant qualification, while applicants for driving-related trades are required to have a valid driver's licence.

Selection and Documentation

Successful applicants will be required to complete relevant documentation, including an Acknowledgement Form, Parent/Guardian Consent Form and Local Government Area Attestation Form.

The NAF said the zonal general aptitude test will hold on a date to be announced through the official recruitment portal.

Only candidates who successfully pass the required stages of the recruitment process will proceed to the interview stage.

NAF Warns Against Fraudsters

The Nigerian Air Force has reiterated that its recruitment exercise is free, urging applicants to disregard anyone requesting payment for forms, assistance or guaranteed enlistment.

Prospective applicants are advised to rely only on official NAF recruitment information and avoid fraudulent websites, agents and social media accounts claiming to have access to recruitment slots.

Interested Nigerians should visit the official Nigerian Air Force recruitment portal to register and obtain the complete eligibility requirements and application guidelines.

One Feared Dead, Another Injured in Ghastly Accident in Agadagba-Obon By NigerDelta Voice Reporters, Ondo State Correspondent. 24th November, 2025 A tragic motor accident occurred earlier today in Agadagba-Obon, leaving one person dead and another severely injured. The deceased, identified simply as Help , reportedly lost his life after the vehicle involved in the incident somersaulted multiple times. Another occupant, identified as Philip Ojuri , sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Eyewitnesses said the accident happened suddenly, throwing the victims from the vehicle as it overturned.
