Construction Work Ongoing As Building Materials Arrive At Project Site
NigerDelta Voice has continued to monitor the progress of the 1,000-seater pavilion project in Arogbo, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, reportedly approved by the Bayelsa State Government under Governor Douye Diri.
Earlier this year, NigerDelta Voice reported the approval and subsequent flag-off of the project, which is expected to provide a major event and community facility for Arogbo and surrounding communities.
A fresh assessment of the project site shows that construction activities are ongoing, with building materials visibly deployed around the site, though construction workers were not around as at the time of the visit.
The latest photographs from the location taken by our newsmen deployed to the site show large quantities of wooden poles and sawn timber stacked at the construction area, alongside concrete structures and other materials. Portions of the site have also been prepared with a substantial layer of sand, indicating continued ground and structural works.
The image further shows workers' construction materials positioned around the site as work progresses. Although the project is still under construction, the presence of materials and ongoing site activity indicates that the project has moved beyond the initial flag-off stage.
The terrain around the project area also reflects the waterlogged nature of the riverine environment, underscoring the importance of proper drainage, foundation and site-engineering measures as construction continues.
NigerDelta Voice understands that the project remains a work in progress, and further updates will be provided as construction advances.
The medium outlet will continue to monitor the project until completion, particularly its construction quality, pace of work and eventual delivery for the benefit of the people of Arogbo and neighbouring communities.
