A former classmate of the late Mrs. Keturah Koweletam Ominabo has paid tribute to her life and legacy, describing her as a devout Christian, morally upright woman, dedicated teacher and youth counsellor who touched many lives through her kindness and service to humanity.

The tribute was made during the funeral Mass held at Christ the King Catholic Church, Imiringi, in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, where family members, friends, well-wishers and former classmates of the Mater Dei High School, Imiringi, Class of 1975, gathered to honour the deceased.

The former classmate, who joined the Ominabo family and other mourners at the Mass, recalled that Keturah demonstrated the qualities for which she was later known even during their secondary school days.

According to the tribute, her commitment to Christian values, moral uprightness, education and the wellbeing of others remained evident throughout her life.

“Keturah lived a life worthy of emulation,” the former classmate said, noting that her kindness, wisdom and dedication as a teacher and youth counsellor enabled her to positively influence numerous lives within and beyond her immediate community.

The occasion was also described as particularly meaningful because of the presence of members of the Ominabo family, including Wealth Dickson Ominabo, son of the deceased and an aide to the former classmate who attended the funeral.

The gathering provided an opportunity for the family, friends and former schoolmates to unite in prayer for the peaceful repose of Keturah’s soul and to celebrate a life devoted to faith, education and service.

While expressing condolences to the bereaved family, the former classmate prayed that Almighty God would grant the deceased eternal rest and give her family, friends, former students and all who mourn her passing the strength and comfort to bear the loss.

He further prayed that the memory of the late Keturah Ominabo would remain a blessing and that the values she embodied would continue to inspire the many people whose lives she touched.
