B.M.D DAILY, a community-focused media platform dedicated to reporting events and promoting the cultural heritage of the Ijaw people, will on Friday, August 14, 2026, celebrate its first anniversary.

Since its establishment, B.M.D DAILY has focused on providing timely news and information to residents of Bomadi Local Government Area and the wider Ijaw nation, while also using its platform to promote the rich cultural heritage, traditions and achievements of Ijaw communities.

The media organisation said its activities over the past year have included reporting community events, highlighting the achievements of individuals and organisations, promoting local businesses, covering breaking developments and showcasing the cultural identity of the Ijaw people.

According to the organisation, its journey has been guided by a vision to ensure that the voices, stories and culture of the Ijaw people are adequately represented and heard beyond their immediate communities.

“Over the past year, B.M.D DAILY has remained committed to telling our stories from our own perspective, highlighting community achievements, preserving our traditions and providing timely news updates on events happening across Bomadi LGA and beyond,” the organisation stated.

As part of activities marking the anniversary, B.M.D DAILY has appealed to friends, supporters, community leaders, organisations and lovers of the Ijaw nation to support the platform with the purchase of a media gadget.

The organisation explained that the equipment would strengthen its capacity to reach more communities, improve the quality of its reports and enable faster and more professional coverage of events across the Ijaw region.

B.M.D DAILY stressed that every form of support, regardless of the amount, would contribute to its efforts to expand its operations and continue documenting the stories, culture and achievements of the Ijaw people.

The platform called on well-meaning individuals and organisations to identify with its anniversary and contribute towards its media development initiative.

“With your support, we can reach more communities, tell more inspiring stories, preserve our cultural heritage and provide faster and more professional news coverage,” it said.

The organisation described its first anniversary as an important milestone in its journey and expressed its commitment to continuing its mission of telling the Ijaw story to a wider audience.

The anniversary campaign is being promoted under the theme and slogan: “Together, Let’s Continue Telling the Ijaw Story — From Bomadi to the World.”

BOMADI TO THE WORLD.
