Congratulations to Our Niger Delta Representatives

The Niger Delta has once again demonstrated its strategic importance in Nigeria's political landscape, with several prominent sons and daughters of the region appointed to various positions in the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.

The appointments cut across Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Edo States, with the region represented in finance, election planning, extractive industry mobilisation, youth and women mobilisation, sports, stakeholder engagement, community support, special duties, security and legal affairs.

Of particular significance is the appointment of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State as Director of Finance/Treasury, while Senator Bassey Otu, Governor of Cross River State, serves as the South-South Zonal Campaign Coordinator.

Also worthy of commendation are Dr. Ngozi Olejeme and Stella Okotete in election planning and coordination; Rt. Hon. Obongemen Ekperikpe Ekpo, Heineken Lokpobiri and Senator Magnus Abe in Extractive Industry Sector Mobilisation; and Douye Diri and Chief Reuben Clifford Wilson in Stakeholders’ Mobilisation.

The list further includes Chief Ayiri Emami,Snr. High Chf. Bibopere Ajube, Osoro Akpabio, Chukwuemeka Woke, Prince Ebitimi Amgbare, John Viko Iyadah, Philip Shaibu, Joseph Yobo, Temi Harriman, Donghan Barbara Omusuku, Dr. Betta Edu, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, High Chief Dennis Otuaro and Worgu Boms, among other Niger Delta stakeholders.

These appointments underscore the strategic relevance of the Niger Delta to the APC's 2027 presidential campaign and place important responsibilities on the region's representatives to contribute meaningfully to the campaign's success.

One Feared Dead, Another Injured in Ghastly Accident in Agadagba-Obon By NigerDelta Voice Reporters, Ondo State Correspondent. 24th November, 2025 A tragic motor accident occurred earlier today in Agadagba-Obon, leaving one person dead and another severely injured. The deceased, identified simply as Help , reportedly lost his life after the vehicle involved in the incident somersaulted multiple times. Another occupant, identified as Philip Ojuri , sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Eyewitnesses said the accident happened suddenly, throwing the victims from the vehicle as it overturned. The cause of the crash is yet to be officially confirmed, but community members have called for caution on the increasingly dangerous route. Local authorities are expected to begin investigations into the incident.
