Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has revealed his desire to return to school and obtain a university degree after retiring from professional football, describing education as a lifelong goal despite his success on the pitch.

Speaking in an interview with Instablog TV, the Galatasaray forward said that while football has brought him global recognition, he still considers higher education an important personal achievement.

According to the 27-year-old, life has taught him many valuable lessons beyond the classroom, but he believes formal education remains significant.

"As an adult, not everything I learned came from school. There are life lessons you encounter through life's journey," Osimhen said.

The Super Eagles star noted that a football career is relatively short, stressing the importance of preparing for life after retirement.

"For me, it would be amazing to earn a degree, which I'm still considering because football is not forever. You play for about 20 to 25 years, and then you're done," he added.

Osimhen explained that although he has other opportunities to rely on after hanging up his boots, obtaining a university degree would enable him to set a positive example for younger generations.

He also encouraged young people who had to suspend their education due to financial or personal challenges not to lose hope, emphasizing that it is never too late to return to school.

"Even if you dropped out because of challenges, you can always go back. School is always there," he said.

Osimhen's remarks have been widely applauded by fans, with many describing his commitment to education as an inspiring message for young Nigerians pursuing both academic and professional dreams.
