The Federal Government is set to reintroduce the N-Power programme as part of renewed efforts to tackle youth unemployment and expand skills acquisition across the country.

According to information shared through official government communication channels and corroborated by recent public announcements, the revamped initiative will focus on equipping young Nigerians with practical, market-driven skills to improve employability and entrepreneurship opportunities.

The reintroduction is expected to form part of the Federal Government's broader social investment reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Reports indicate that the programme will feature a stronger emphasis on vocational training, digital skills, and enterprise development, with a restructured implementation framework designed to address shortcomings experienced under the previous N-Power scheme.

Government officials have also assured former verified N-Power beneficiaries that outstanding obligations will be addressed as reforms progress.

The original N-Power programme, launched in 2016, provided temporary employment and skills development opportunities for hundreds of thousands of Nigerian youths before it was suspended amid restructuring and administrative challenges. The planned relaunch is expected to create fresh opportunities for unemployed youths while supporting the government's drive for economic empowerment and poverty reduction.

The deceased, identified simply as Help , reportedly lost his life after the vehicle involved in the incident somersaulted multiple times. Another occupant, identified as Philip Ojuri , sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Eyewitnesses said the accident happened suddenly, throwing the victims from the vehicle as it overturned.
