Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gallery Security Services Limited, today marks his 50th birthday, a milestone that celebrates a remarkable journey of courage, transformation, leadership and service to humanity.

Widely revered as the Beleukoriwei (Pathfinder) of Arogbo Kingdom in Ondo State, Ajube has grown from a prominent figure in the Niger Delta struggle into one of the region's most respected security entrepreneurs and peace advocates.

From the Creeks to Corporate Leadership

Born into the Ijaw-speaking Arogbo Kingdom in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Bibopere Ajube's early years were shaped by the realities of the Niger Delta—an oil-rich region long plagued by underdevelopment, environmental degradation and insecurity.

During the height of the Niger Delta agitation, he emerged as one of the notable leaders advocating for justice and resource control. Following the 2009 Federal Government Amnesty Programme, Ajube embraced peace, laying down arms and dedicating himself to rebuilding communities through security, youth empowerment and economic development.

Building Gallery Security Services

Driven by the need to protect lives, waterways and critical national assets, Ajube founded Gallery Security Services Limited, a private security company licensed by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

The company has grown into one of Nigeria's leading indigenous security outfits, specialising in:

  • Waterway surveillance
  • Pipeline and oil installation protection
  • Coastal community security
  • Community patrol operations
  • Security personnel training
  • Collaboration with the Nigerian military and other security agencies

Gallery Security operates extensively across Ondo State and the wider Niger Delta, providing security support for oil and gas facilities while helping to curb piracy, kidnapping, pipeline vandalism and illegal bunkering.

A Legacy of Peace and Community Development

Beyond security operations, Ajube has consistently invested in the development of coastal communities.

Through youth empowerment initiatives, vocational training, scholarships, medical outreaches and humanitarian interventions, he has created opportunities for hundreds of young people while promoting lasting peace across the Niger Delta.

His leadership philosophy centres on community participation, believing that sustainable security can only be achieved when local people are actively involved in protecting their environment.

Recognition and Influence

Ajube's contributions have earned him numerous traditional honours, including the revered title of Beleukoriwei (Pathfinder) of Arogbo Kingdom.

Former Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko has publicly acknowledged that Gallery Security has significantly reduced kidnapping, sea piracy and violent crimes across the riverine communities of Ondo State. Mimiko noted that the company has become a model for community-based security in Nigeria.

His security outfit has also maintained strategic partnerships with the Nigerian Army, Police, DSS, NSCDC and other agencies in safeguarding Nigeria's coastal corridors.

In recent years, Ajube's public celebrations have largely focused on corporate and community milestones rather than personal festivities.

The 13th anniversary of Gallery Security Services in 2025 attracted governors, former government officials, traditional rulers, security chiefs, business leaders and community stakeholders. The multi-day celebration featured youth summits, anti-drug campaigns, free medical outreach, cultural displays and discussions on improving security across the Niger Delta.

Ajube's public appearances consistently reflect his preference for using major occasions to promote community development, peacebuilding and youth empowerment.

A Golden Jubilee Worth Celebrating

As Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube celebrates his 50th birthday, family members, friends, business associates, traditional institutions and people across the Niger Delta celebrate a man whose life reflects resilience, transformation and visionary leadership.

From the creeks of the Niger Delta to the boardroom of one of Nigeria's foremost indigenous security companies, his journey demonstrates that determination, peace and service can create lasting impact.

NigerDelta Voice joins countless well-wishers in celebrating Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube at 50 and prays for continued strength, wisdom, good health and greater accomplishments as he continues to serve Arogbo Kingdom, Ondo State, the Niger Delta and Nigeria.

Happy 50th Birthday, Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube—The Beleukoriwei (Pathfinder) of Arogbo Kingdom.
