Edo State Government through the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has commenced the distribution of smart tablets to teachers across public basic schools in the state as part of efforts to strengthen digital learning and improve education delivery.

The initiative, being implemented under the leadership of the SUBEB Executive Chairman, Hon. Ebanehita Sonia Omonzane, is designed to equip teachers with modern technological tools that will enhance lesson delivery, provide access to updated educational resources, and promote interactive learning among pupils.

The distribution aligns with the commitment of the Edo State Government, led by Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo, to drive innovation and technology-based reforms in the education sector.

With the introduction of the tablets, teachers are expected to improve classroom management, access digital teaching materials, and effectively support the implementation of ongoing educational programmes across the state.

The intervention is projected to boost teaching efficiency, enhance pupils’ learning outcomes, and better prepare students for the demands of an increasingly digital world.
