A private security outfit, Gallery Security Services in Ondo State, has rescued a kidnapped trader and arrested two suspects in a coordinated operation carried out in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The victim, Mrs. Morenike Falona, aged 37, was abducted on June 16, 2026, at Orelopo Street, Ode-Irele. She was reportedly held after being taken from her residence in .
Acting on intelligence, a 20-man team from Gallery Security Services launched a search-and-rescue operation, locating the victim on June 19 at a palm plantation in Iju-Osun community, also within Irele LGA. She was rescued alive and unharmed.
Two suspects were arrested during the operation and identified as Obibodefiyie Ajuesie, 36, from Ajapa community in , and Monday Lucky, also known as “Gazilo,” 37, from Akpata community in the same LGA.
On June 20, the rescued victim and suspects were handed over to security operatives at Ajagba Police Station for further investigation and possible prosecution under the supervision of the Okitipupa Area Command.
Speaking on the operation, the company’s CEO, Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube, reportedly praised community intelligence support and reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to tackling kidnapping and other violent crimes across Ondo South Senatorial District.
He also warned criminal networks operating in the region to desist or face intensified enforcement collaboration between private security actors, local communities, and state security agencies.
Gallery Security Services said the operation highlights its growing intelligence capacity and operational reach beyond its designated riverine mandate, particularly across coastal communities of Ondo State.
