In a special review of the 2026 Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) conferment shortlist released by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC), NigerDelta Voice has extracted names of lawyers from the Niger Delta region who featured among the shortlisted candidates.
The analysis of the published list shows that lawyers with links to Delta and Edo States made notable appearances among the Advocate Applicants category, reflecting the region’s continued influence in Nigeria’s legal profession.
The Niger Delta-linked candidates identified are:

The SAN rank, regarded as one of Nigeria’s highest honours for legal practitioners, is conferred on lawyers who demonstrate outstanding professional competence, ethical standards, and significant contributions to the development of law.
The LPPC shortlist represents candidates who have passed through various stages of assessment, with the final conferment list expected after completion of the remaining processes.
