𝐁𝐲 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐚 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐚, 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚.

The Ondo State Civil Service Commission has announced the commencement of recruitment for qualified legal practitioners into the state public service.

According to a public service announcement issued by the Commission in Akure, applications are invited for the position of Senior State Legal Counsel, Grade Level 10 in the Ministry of Justice, Alagbaka, Akure.

The recruitment exercise is targeted at suitably qualified Solicitors and Advocates of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with not more than two years post-call experience.

The Commission disclosed that the application portal opened on Monday, May 25, 2026, and will close on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Applicants are expected to register through the official portal of the Ondo State Civil Service Commission,  www.odsgcivilservicecomm.org.ng

To qualify for the position, candidates must possess a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and a Call-to-Bar certificate from a recognized institution. Applicants must also have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme where applicable and be computer literate.

Other requirements include that applicants must not be more than 45 years old, must be physically and mentally fit, and must present a duly signed Certificate of State of Origin alongside a birth certificate or affidavit of declaration of age.

The announcement was signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Omotayo Akeju.

The recruitment is expected to provide an opportunity for young legal practitioners seeking to build careers within the Ondo State Ministry of Justice and strengthen legal service delivery in the state.

One Feared Dead, Another Injured in Ghastly Accident in Agadagba-Obon By NigerDelta Voice Reporters, Ondo State Correspondent. 24th November, 2025 A tragic motor accident occurred earlier today in Agadagba-Obon, leaving one person dead and another severely injured. The deceased, identified simply as Help , reportedly lost his life after the vehicle involved in the incident somersaulted multiple times. Another occupant, identified as Philip Ojuri , sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Eyewitnesses said the accident happened suddenly, throwing the victims from the vehicle as it overturned. The cause of the crash is yet to be officially confirmed, but community members have called for caution on the increasingly dangerous route.
