The Benue State Government has rolled out a major education reform initiative with the launch of a ₦150 million School Grant Scheme aimed at revitalising public schools, improving learning conditions, and strengthening supervision across the state.
The programme, inaugurated in Makurdi through the Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), also featured the distribution of motorcycles to Quality Assurance Officers in all 23 local government areas to enhance monitoring of schools, particularly in rural communities.
Representing Governor at the event, Deputy Governor described education as the most strategic investment any government can make, stressing that the initiative would improve school administration, boost teaching standards, and ensure effective supervision of educational activities statewide.
