BY NIGERDELTA VOICE, Niger Delta, Nigeria.
NigerDelta Voice has congratulated Goodluck Ebelo following his appointment as the new Director of the Energy Security Directorate at the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), describing the development as a well-deserved recognition of his years of dedicated service in Nigeria’s security and anti-corruption sectors.
Ebelo, a seasoned operative with extensive experience in intelligence, investigations, and law enforcement, was recently appointed to head the strategic Directorate responsible for protecting Nigeria’s critical energy infrastructure and coordinating national energy security operations.
He succeeds former Rivers State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ojukaye Flag-Amachree, who served as the pioneer Director of the Directorate after its establishment in 2024.
In a congratulatory message, NigerDelta Voice noted that Ebelo’s appointment reflects confidence in his professional competence, leadership capacity, and longstanding commitment to national service.
The media platform stated that the Energy Security Directorate plays a vital role in Nigeria’s efforts to combat crude oil theft, pipeline vandalism, economic sabotage, and other threats affecting the nation’s oil and gas sector.
Before his appointment to ONSA, Ebelo served with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), where he occupied several strategic operational and administrative positions across the country.
He most recently served as Acting Zonal Director of the EFCC Kano Directorate following his appointment by EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede. During his tenure in Kano, he supervised anti-corruption investigations, prosecutions, intelligence operations, and enforcement activities across the North-West region.
Prior to his deployment to Kano, Ebelo served as Acting Director at the Office of the Executive Chairman of the EFCC and Coordinator of Special Duties from April 2024, where he coordinated special investigations and supervised operational assignments nationwide.
He also previously served as Commander of the EFCC Makurdi Zonal Command between 2021 and 2024, in addition to earlier postings as Zonal Head in Gombe from 2018 to 2019 and Ibadan between 2019 and 2020.
NigerDelta Voice expressed optimism that Ebelo’s experience in intelligence gathering, inter-agency coordination, and anti-corruption enforcement would contribute significantly to strengthening Nigeria’s energy security framework.
The platform further wished him success in his new role and urged continued commitment to the protection of national assets and the advancement of peace, stability, and economic security in the Niger Delta and across the country.
