Ambassador (Sen.) Ibrahim Jimoh, CFR, PhD (Cantab), has received a rousing welcome from residents of Igbotako, Ondo State, following his return from the United Nations, where he formally presented his letter of credence to the UN Secretary-General.
The historic homecoming drew a large turnout of community members, who gathered to celebrate what many described as a landmark achievement for Igbotako, the Ikale nation, Ondo State, and Nigeria at large.
The atmosphere in the town was marked by jubilation and pride, as indigenes hailed the ambassador’s accomplishment as a significant step forward in elevating the community’s presence on the global stage.
Addressing the crowd, Ambassador Jimoh pledged to use his new diplomatic role to foster development and growth.
“I will leverage this office to bring about sustainable growth and development to Ikale land, Ondo State, and Nigeria. I will make Nigeria proud in the comity of nations,” he stated.
His return has continued to generate excitement across the region, with stakeholders expressing optimism that his international engagement will translate into tangible benefits for his home community and the country.
