Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump has proposed that all individuals seeking the offices of President or Vice President should be required to undergo cognitive examinations before entering the race.

In a statement shared via his official platform, Trump argued that such a requirement would help voters better assess the mental fitness of candidates, suggesting it could prevent what he described as unexpected election outcomes involving figures like Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Trump further claimed that he personally undertook cognitive tests on three separate occasions during his time in office and “aced” them each time. He described this as a rare achievement, asserting that medical professionals had indicated such consistent performance is uncommon.

The former president concluded that implementing mandatory cognitive testing would improve leadership standards and benefit the country overall.
