The Nigerian Law School has officially released a comprehensive step-by-step guide for candidates seeking admission into the Bar Part I Programme for the 2026 academic session.
According to the guidelines issued by the Council of Legal Education, prospective applicants are required to begin the registration process by paying a non-refundable application fee of ₦30,000 through the Federal Government’s Treasury Single Account (TSA) platform on Remita.
Applicants are expected to visit the Remita platform and select the option to pay the Federal Government of Nigeria. They are to choose the Council of Legal Education as the relevant Ministry, Department, or Agency (MDA) before selecting “Application Fee” as the purpose of payment.
The Law School stated that candidates can complete the payment either with an ATM card online or by visiting any designated bank branch.
As part of the outlined procedure, applicants must enter their full names in the appropriate section marked “Applicant Name” and complete all other required details before proceeding with payment.
After successful payment, candidates are required to fill out an online application form through a designated Google Form portal. Upon submission, applicants will receive an email containing their Application Number and Password needed for the next stage of registration.
The institution further directed candidates to proceed to the Nigerian Law School official website to access the Bar Part I 2026 Portal through the NLS Portal section.
