The (JAMB) has released the first batch of results for candidates who participated in the ongoing 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The development follows the commencement of the nationwide examination, which began on April 16 and is expected to run through April 25, 2026.

According to information gathered by NigerDelta Voice, the results are being released in batches in line with the board’s established process of post-examination verification and quality checks. UTME results are typically released within 48 hours after each examination session, depending on the completion of marking and validation procedures.

Candidates who sat for the examination in the early days are among those included in the first batch, while others are expected to follow in subsequent releases.

JAMB had earlier stated that results would not be released all at once but progressively, to safeguard the integrity of the examination process and screen for any cases of malpractice or irregularities.

Candidates can check their results via the official JAMB portal or through SMS by sending “UTMERESULT” to the designated shortcode using the phone number linked to their registration.

The 2026 UTME recorded significant participation, with over 2.2 million candidates registered nationwide, making it one of the largest examination exercises conducted by the board in recent years.

JAMB has advised candidates yet to access their results to remain patient, assuring that additional batches will be released as processing continues.

One Feared Dead, Another Injured in Ghastly Accident in Agadagba-Obon By NigerDelta Voice Reporters, Ondo State Correspondent. 24th November, 2025 A tragic motor accident occurred earlier today in Agadagba-Obon, leaving one person dead and another severely injured. The deceased, identified simply as Help , reportedly lost his life after the vehicle involved in the incident somersaulted multiple times. Another occupant, identified as Philip Ojuri , sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Eyewitnesses said the accident happened suddenly, throwing the victims from the vehicle as it overturned. The cause of the crash is yet to be officially confirmed, but community members have called for caution on the increasingly dangerous route.
