The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has partially complied with a judgment of the Federal High Court by releasing details of beneficiaries under the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme in Ondo State.

In a letter dated March 18, 2026, and signed by the Director of Legal Services, Rabi Garba, on behalf of the Honourable Minister, the Ministry forwarded a flash drive containing the names, local government areas, wards, and communities of 172,996 beneficiaries to Mr. Myson Nejo.

The disclosure follows a court order delivered on November 3, 2025, by Justice B.F.M. Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, in suit number FHC/ABJ/1222/2025 between Myson Adeyemi Nejo and the Ministry. The ruling mandated the Ministry to provide details requested under the Freedom of Information Act, 2011.

Despite the release, the Ministry did not include information on the amounts disbursed to each local government area, a key component of the request and the court’s directive.

Myson Nejo, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Ondo State, had initially sought the information in June 2025 after the Ministry declined his request, prompting legal action through his counsel, Vincent Adodo.

Earlier, in May 2025, the then Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Yilwatda Nentawe, disclosed that about ₦6 billion had been disbursed within six months under the programme.

Meanwhile, concerns over transparency have emerged, as at least one individual listed among the beneficiaries has reportedly denied receiving any funds, raising questions about the credibility of the released data.
