The Police Service Commission has scheduled April 28 to 30, 2026, for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBT) for candidates participating in the ongoing recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force.

The commission disclosed that the aptitude test will take place across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, following the conclusion of the nationwide physical and credentials screening slated for April 18.

In a statement issued by the Sokoto State Police Command, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmad Rufa’i, described the CBT as a decisive phase in the recruitment process. He noted that the examination is designed to ensure that only qualified candidates are selected into the force.

Rufa’i explained that the duration of the test may vary by state, depending on the number of applicants and the availability of functional CBT centres. While some states may complete the process within a day, others may require the full three-day window.

He assured candidates that the scheduling framework is structured to accommodate operational realities, adding that all eligible applicants would be given a fair opportunity to participate.

Applicants were advised to remain patient and await official communication regarding venue allocation and the release of shortlisted candidates. The police also cautioned against the spread of misinformation, urging candidates to rely solely on verified channels for updates.

The ongoing recruitment drive forms part of broader efforts to boost manpower and enhance the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force.
