The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to begin printing their examination notification slips ahead of the exercise scheduled to commence on April 16.
In a statement issued by JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board said the slips contain essential details, including candidates’ examination dates, venues, and times.
JAMB explained that the UTME would be conducted over multiple days, making it necessary for candidates to confirm their individual schedules in advance.
“Candidates are strongly advised to print their examination slips in order to confirm their examination date, venue, and time, as the exercise will be conducted over several days,” the statement read.
The board also urged candidates to print their slips early and familiarise themselves with their assigned examination centres to avoid last-minute challenges. It noted that each candidate has been allocated a specific schedule to ensure timely arrival for screening and accreditation before the examination begins.
To access the slips, candidates are required to visit JAMB’s official website and select the “2026 UTME Slip Printing” option.
JAMB further warned candidates and Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre operators against any form of examination malpractice, stating that enhanced security measures have been introduced for this year’s exercise. It added that strict sanctions would be imposed on offenders.
The UTME is a key entrance examination for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Over 2.2 million candidates are expected to sit for the 2026 edition of the Computer-Based Test.
