Born into the Nwankwo family of Ohanku Ndoki in Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State, Apostle Chinyere grew up in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, under modest socio-economic conditions.
His parents, Late Mr. and Mrs. Chinyere Nwankwo, raised him in an environment that exposed him early to the realities of hardship—an experience that would later define his life’s mission.

While there is no widely documented record of a conventional university education, Apostle Chinyere’s formation is rooted in practical life experience, scriptural study, and ministerial training.
His rise reflects a non-traditional educational trajectory shaped by resilience and spiritual calling rather than formal academic pathways.

Like many self-made figures, his journey to prominence was marked by adversity. As a young man, he relocated to Lagos in search of better opportunities, where he reportedly:
Slept under bridges due to lack of accommodation in Lagos, worked as a cleaner with aviation authorities in order to survive, also served as a security guard, engaged in petty trading, including recharge card sales.
These formative experiences instilled in him a deep empathy for the underprivileged and a commitment to social intervention.

Through Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chinyere has built one of Nigeria’s most expansive faith-based humanitarian networks. His interventions include:
Free Education Scheme: Establishment of tuition-free primary and secondary schools for indigent children
Scholarship Programmes: Sponsorship of students to universities both within Nigeria and abroad
Free Healthcare Services: Provision of medical care through OPM-supported facilities
Housing Projects: Construction and allocation of free homes for widows and displaced persons
Skills Acquisition Centres: Vocational training in tailoring, ICT, and other trades
Prison and Social Outreach: Rehabilitation support and welfare programmes for inmates and vulnerable groups.
𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Apostle Chinyere’s humanitarian efforts have earned him multiple recognitions across religious and civic platforms, including:
Humanitarian Service Awards from faith-based and community organizations
Recognition by local and regional bodies for poverty alleviation initiatives
Commendations for his free education and social welfare programmes.
His Royal Majesty (HRM) King Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), received the title of HRM when he was crowned the traditional ruler of his community, Ikwuorie Autonomous Community in Ohanku Ndoki, Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria.
How the Title "HRM" Came About:
Persistent Community Request: The community sought him out to be their king for over 10 years, as he was highly respected for his extensive, unmatched philanthropic activities in the area.
Initial Refusal: Initially, Apostle Chinyere rejected the position, preferring to focus on his ministry and humanitarian work, even urging the community to pick someone else he could support.
Acceptance of the Throne: He finally accepted the position to serve his community on January 3, 2024, seeing it as a sacrifice and an opportunity to further improve the lives of his people and foster unity.
Official Installation: In March 2024, Abia State Governor Alex Otti formally presented him with the staff of office.
Historical Significance: He became one of the few high-ranking Nigerian pastors to be a traditional ruler while still serving as a General Overseer.
Known as the "Ihie I of Ikwuorie Autonomous Community," he is recognized for his massive efforts in building free schools, specialist hospitals, and skill acquisition centers for the poor.

The decision to honour Apostle Chinyere as Niger Delta Voice Personality of the Week is anchored on:
His consistent commitment to humanitarian service, A proven track record of impacting thousands of lives through education and welfare, His role in redefining ministry through practical Christianity—faith expressed through action, His Niger Delta roots and continued investment in the region’s human capital development
In an era where public trust in leadership is often tested, HRM King Apostle Chibuizor Gift Chinyere stands out as a figure whose influence extends beyond the pulpit into tangible societal transformation.
His journey—from hardship to humanitarian leadership—continues to inspire a generation and reinforces the power of compassion-driven impact.
This recognition forms part of Niger Delta Voice’s ongoing commitment to spotlight individuals whose contributions are shaping the social, economic, and moral landscape of the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
