The has announced the commencement of a large-scale recruitment exercise aimed at strengthening the state’s healthcare system, with over 700 health workers to be engaged across various medical fields.

The directive, approved by Governor , is part of ongoing efforts to address manpower shortages and improve service delivery in public health facilities.

According to official details, interested applicants are required to submit their applications within two weeks from March 25, 2026, either physically at the Ministry of Health, Ground Floor, Cluster E, Prof. Chike Edozien Secretariat in , or via email.

Applicants are expected to provide a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV), relevant academic and professional credentials, birth certificate, certificate of origin, evidence of name change (if applicable), valid practicing license, referee reports, and two recent passport photographs.

The recruitment drive is targeted at boosting the capacity of the state’s health sector, ensuring improved access to quality medical services for residents.

In addition to the hiring initiative, the government is also investing in modern medical infrastructure, including the procurement of MRI machines for hospitals in Asaba, Warri, and Oghara, as part of broader reforms in the healthcare system.

One Feared Dead, Another Injured in Ghastly Accident in Agadagba-Obon By NigerDelta Voice Reporters, Ondo State Correspondent. 24th November, 2025 A tragic motor accident occurred earlier today in Agadagba-Obon, leaving one person dead and another severely injured. The deceased, identified simply as Help , reportedly lost his life after the vehicle involved in the incident somersaulted multiple times. Another occupant, identified as Philip Ojuri , sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Eyewitnesses said the accident happened suddenly, throwing the victims from the vehicle as it overturned. The cause of the crash is yet to be officially confirmed, but community members have called for caution on the increasingly dangerous route.
