The Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), Of The United States Of America, 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘁 has resigned from his position, citing strong opposition to the United States’ ongoing military engagement in Iran.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the outgoing director said his decision followed “much reflection,” stressing that he could no longer support the war on moral grounds.

“I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation,” he stated. He further alleged that the conflict appeared to have been influenced by pressure from Israel and pro-Israel lobbying groups within the United States.
The resignation takes immediate effect.

Despite his criticism of the military action, the former director expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve, describing his tenure as an honour. He acknowledged his time working under the President of the United States and the Director of National Intelligence, as well as leading personnel at the NCTC.

“It has been an honor serving… and leading the professionals at NCTC,” he said.
The development comes amid intensifying debate within U.S. political and security circles over the justification and broader implications of the Iran conflict.

As of press time, there has been no official response from the White House or the Office of the Director of National Intelligence regarding the resignation.
He concluded his statement with a patriotic note: “May God bless America.”
