Social media has been thrown into frenzy following a viral video released by controversial TikToker, popularly known as Awalawulu, from Arogbo in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, in which he strongly condemned alleged acts of sexual abuse said to have occurred within the Asere clan.

In the trending clip, delivered in the Arogbo-Ijaw dialect, the outspoken content creator accused one Serun Dindenwei of allegedly engaging in immoral and criminal acts involving his biological daughters and daughter-in-law — allegations that have sparked widespread anger and disbelief across the riverine community.

Awalawulu, who has recently gained prominence for exposing social vices and cultural aberrations through his social media platforms, shared the video on his official Facebook handle, @Arogbo World Strongest, where it has since generated heated reactions, debates, and calls for thorough investigation.

Speaking passionately in the footage, the TikToker described the alleged acts as “a desecration of culture, humanity, and moral conscience,” insisting that such accusations — if proven — represent not only a grave crime under Nigerian law but also a stain on the revered traditions of the Arogbo-Ijaw people.

Community stakeholders who reacted to the viral development expressed deep concern over the disturbing nature of the allegations. Many emphasized that incest and sexual abuse are serious criminal offences that must be addressed strictly within the ambit of the law, urging relevant authorities to immediately investigate the matter.

Legal experts note that sexual abuse and incest carry severe penalties under Nigerian criminal statutes, especially where minors are involved. They warned against trial by social media, stressing the importance of allowing law enforcement agencies to conduct a proper and impartial investigation.

Cultural leaders in the area have also reiterated that the Arogbo-Ijaw heritage strongly upholds family honor, moral discipline, and communal responsibility, condemning any behavior that undermines the dignity of women and children.

As tensions rise in parts of Ese-Odo, residents are calling for calm while urging security agencies to step in swiftly to ascertain the facts and ensure justice is served if the allegations are substantiated.
