Boijumiyen Lord Filatei has been appointed as the Perekoriwei (King Maker) of Biagbini Kingdom by the Paramount Ruler of Biagbini Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Pere Moses I. Uguoji, and the appointment takes effect from 12th February, 2026.

By this sacred appointment, Chief Boijumiyen Lord Filatei has been duly entrusted with the traditional mandate and ancestral authority to serve as a Kingmaker of the Biagbini Kingdom, empowered to identify, endorse, and present the rightful successor to the revered throne of Biagbini, in accordance with the customs, lineage, and age-long traditions of the kingdom.

The coronation ceremony, which had in attendance various dignitaries, chiefs, elders, youths, women groups and well-wishers from within and outside the Kingdom, was held in a colourful and well-attended traditional setting, as the monarch officially confirmed and installed new Chiefs and High Chiefs of the Kingdom.

One of the major highlights of the event was the installation of Chief Boijumiyen Lord Filatei as the Perekoriwei of the Kingdom, a prestigious position regarded as highly significant in the traditional institution and leadership structure of Biagbini Kingdom.

Despite his youthful age, the overwhelming turnout and massive show of support during the ceremony clearly reflected the confidence, acceptance and trust the people have in him, affirming that he is truly deserving of the honour.
While describing the newly installed Chief, the monarch used a popular adage, saying:

"If a child knows how to wash his hands well, elders will always invite him to dine with them."

Following the successful installation, the Management and Staff of NigerDelta Voice felicitated with Chief Boijumiyen Lord Filatei on his appointment, urging him to remain committed to the good path he has begun and to carry out his responsibilities with the fear of God, wisdom and dedication towards the growth and development of Biagbini Kingdom and the whole Ondo State at large.

In his response, Chief Boijumiyen Lord Filatei expressed deep appreciation to NigerDelta Voice  for their continued support and for serving as a voice to sidelined and underdeveloped communities within the Niger Delta region, particularly the Arogbo Ward 3 communities.

He also extended his gratitude to the Pere of Biagbini Kingdom, the chiefs, elders and everyone who came out to honour and celebrate with him during the historic occasion.

Once again, congratulations to Chief Boijumiyen Lord Filatei, the newly appointed Perekoriwei (King Maker) of Biagbini Kingdom, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

One Feared Dead, Another Injured in Ghastly Accident in Agadagba-Obon By NigerDelta Voice Reporters, Ondo State Correspondent. 24th November, 2025 A tragic motor accident occurred earlier today in Agadagba-Obon, leaving one person dead and another severely injured. The deceased, identified simply as Help , reportedly lost his life after the vehicle involved in the incident somersaulted multiple times. Another occupant, identified as Philip Ojuri , sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Eyewitnesses said the accident happened suddenly, throwing the victims from the vehicle as it overturned.
