As Ondo State marks its 50th anniversary, the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Clan Representative of the Arogbo Axis and Youth President, Adoloseimo II, Comr. Hope Okiriji has congratulated, Hon. Donald Kimikanboh Ojogo on the historic Golden Jubilee celebration, describing the milestone as a testament to the state’s resilience, unity and progressive journey over the decades.
In a goodwill message issued to commemorate the anniversary, the IYC Arogbo clan representative and Youth President, Adoloseimo II, praised Hon. Ojogo for his leadership, commitment to grassroots development and consistent engagement with the youth across the riverine communities of the state.
He noted that the Golden Jubilee offers a moment of reflection on the sacrifices of past leaders while also presenting an opportunity to reposition Ondo State for greater growth through inclusive governance and youth participation.
According to him, the youths of the Arogbo Axis remain solidly behind Hon. Ojogo, citing his advocacy for youth empowerment, education and socio-economic advancement as key reasons for their continued support.
“The Ondo of our dreams can only be achieved when the energy, creativity and aspirations of young people are fully harnessed. Hon. Donald Kimikanboh Ojogo has continued to demonstrate that he understands this responsibility,” the statement read.
The IYC Arogbo Clan Rep. further reaffirmed his commitment to peace, unity and constructive engagement, urging all stakeholders to use the Golden Jubilee celebration as a platform to strengthen harmony and chart a sustainable future for the state.
Ondo State was created in 1976 and has since evolved into a major political, economic and cultural hub in the South-West and Niger Delta fringe, with the 50th anniversary celebration marking a significant chapter in its history.
