The Ondo State Government has ordered the immediate and indefinite closure of St. Louis Primary School, Ondo, located in Ondo West Local Government Area, over alleged persistent violations of state educational regulations.

The directive was issued by the Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, who cited the school’s continued non-compliance and flagrant disregard for guidelines governing the operation of private educational institutions in the state.

According to the Commissioner, the action became necessary as part of the government’s commitment to enforcing standards and ensuring that all private schools operate strictly within the legal and regulatory framework of Ondo State.
Prof. Ajibefun stressed that the closure will remain in force until the management of St. Louis Primary School fully complies with all government regulations and formally acknowledges the state’s oversight authority.

The Ministry of Education has urged parents and guardians of pupils enrolled at the school to comply with the directive and make alternative arrangements without delay. 

The Ondo State Government reaffirmed its resolve to uphold quality, order, and accountability within the education sector, noting that no institution will be allowed to undermine established standards.

One Feared Dead, Another Injured in Ghastly Accident in Agadagba-Obon By NigerDelta Voice Reporters, Ondo State Correspondent. 24th November, 2025 A tragic motor accident occurred earlier today in Agadagba-Obon, leaving one person dead and another severely injured. The deceased, identified simply as Help , reportedly lost his life after the vehicle involved in the incident somersaulted multiple times. Another occupant, identified as Philip Ojuri , sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Eyewitnesses said the accident happened suddenly, throwing the victims from the vehicle as it overturned. The cause of the crash is yet to be officially confirmed, but community members have called for caution on the increasingly dangerous route.
