The Atiye Foundation has distributed Batch A of 40 free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms to indigene students across the Egbemo-Angalabiri Domain, Bayelsa State, in a move aimed at expanding access to higher education and easing the financial burden on families.
The initiative, spearheaded by High Chief David Atiye, PhD, the Compound Chief of Orutala Compound, is part of ongoing efforts to promote educational advancement and youth empowerment within the domain.
For many households, the cost of JAMB registration remains a significant barrier to tertiary education. The intervention by the Atiye Foundation removes this obstacle, creating opportunities for qualified students to pursue their academic aspirations without financial constraints.
Community stakeholders have described the gesture as a timely and strategic investment in human capital, emphasizing that education remains a critical driver of sustainable development. They noted that the initiative aligns with High Chief Atiye’s long-held commitment to youth development and his belief that empowering young people is key to securing the future of the Egbemo-Angalabiri Domain.
As beneficiaries prepare for the next stage of their academic journey, the initiative is already generating positive impact across the community, reinforcing the view that effective leadership is demonstrated through service, vision, and tangible contributions to human development.
