Arogbo town was on Friday thrown into a rare spectacle of cheers and emotions as a large crowd lined the streets to witness the arrival of the body of the late Mrs Margaret Toikumoh, conveyed in a car majestically drawn by a donkey.
The unique procession, described by residents as first of its kind in the history of the community, drew massive attention as youths, elders, women, and sympathisers from neighbouring towns gathered to pay their last respects. Songs, chants, and spontaneous applause greeted the convoy as it made its way into the town.
The symbolic donkey-drawn carriage, rich in cultural significance, reflected the honour and esteem accorded the late Mrs Toikumoh, whose life was widely celebrated for humility, kindness, and service to humanity.
The remarkable arrival formally marked the commencement of burial rites, setting the tone for funeral activities as the community joined the bereaved family in mourning and celebration of a fulfilled life.
