Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to completing all ongoing road projects across the state, declaring that no project will be abandoned under his watch.

The governor gave the assurance on Tuesday during the continuation of his local government “Thank You” tour to Ifedore and Idanre Local Government Areas, where party faithful and residents trooped out in large numbers to welcome him.

Governor Aiyedatiwa disclosed that construction work is currently ongoing on several key roads, including the 3-kilometre Ikota Road, the 7.5-kilometre Ijare–Akure Road, and the Akure–Idanre Road, while rehabilitation is also underway on roads previously abandoned by past administrations. He noted with pride that one of the contractors handling the projects is an indigenous company from Ifedore Local Government Area.

According to the governor, the renewed pace of infrastructural development has been made possible by increased federal allocations resulting from the economic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which have empowered states to implement multiple development projects simultaneously.

Describing his recent electoral victory as historic, Governor Aiyedatiwa said the overwhelming mandate—popularly referred to as “18–0 pro max”—places a moral obligation on him to deliver tangible dividends of democracy to all parts of the state.

He called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to sustain unity and internal harmony, stressing that party cohesion remains critical ahead of future elections. The governor also urged aspirants for National Assembly positions to embrace consultations, assuring that the party would carefully consider all interests in selecting credible candidates.

In Idanre, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed deep appreciation to residents for their massive support at the polls, noting that the local government played a decisive role in securing his landmark victory.

Earlier, the State Chairman of APC, Engr Ade Adetimehin, commended the governor for restoring peace to the area following past political tensions.

One Feared Dead, Another Injured in Ghastly Accident in Agadagba-Obon By NigerDelta Voice Reporters, Ondo State Correspondent. 24th November, 2025 A tragic motor accident occurred earlier today in Agadagba-Obon, leaving one person dead and another severely injured. The deceased, identified simply as Help , reportedly lost his life after the vehicle involved in the incident somersaulted multiple times. Another occupant, identified as Philip Ojuri , sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Eyewitnesses said the accident happened suddenly, throwing the victims from the vehicle as it overturned. The cause of the crash is yet to be officially confirmed, but community members have called for caution on the increasingly dangerous route. Local authorities are expected to begin investigations into the incident.
