Finally Police Spill the Beans on Regina Daniels’ Brother’s Arrest

The long arm of the law has finally caught up with Samuel Ojeogwu, brother of Nollywood star Regina Daniels, as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command revealed why he was taken into custody and charged in court.

According to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, Ojeogwu was arrested over allegations of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft—offences that, as they say, don’t spring from an empty drum.

Adeh disclosed in a statement on Friday that the arrest followed a petition lodged on October 28, 2025, against Ojeogwu and three others. Despite several police invitations, the suspect reportedly played hide-and-seek with the authorities until he was finally fished out in Lagos and whisked to Abuja under a valid court warrant.

“Upon receipt of the petition, several invitations were extended to Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu for questioning, which were not honoured. He was eventually arrested in Lagos on the authority of a duly issued arrest warrant and conveyed to Abuja for further investigation,” Adeh explained.

After a thorough probe, Ojeogwu was arraigned before a competent court in Abuja on November 6, 2025, and remanded in custody pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.

Adeh stressed that the Command was merely doing its job by the book, assuring the public that due process was followed to the letter.

“The FCT Police Command remains committed to professional policing, due process, and the rule of law,” she affirmed.

The arrest, however, comes at a stormy time for the Daniels family. Just days earlier, Regina Daniels broke down in tears in a viral video, crying out over her family’s challenges and pleading for empathy. As the saying goes, when one finger touches oil, it spreads to the others — and her brother’s ordeal has clearly touched her heart deeply.

While tongues continue to wag and speculations fly, the police insist the matter is before the court, and justice, like a grinding stone, may turn slowly, but it grinds exceedingly fine.
