Islamist supporters poured into the streets of several Nigerian cities on Friday in a massive protest against former U.S. President Donald Trump’s reported threat to “come to Nigeria to eradicate Islamic extremists” accused of carrying out Christian genocide.

The protesters, waving flags and chanting anti-Trump slogans, described his remarks as “an insult to Islam” and “a foreign interference in Nigeria’s internal affairs.” Many carried mock images and caricatures of Trump, symbolizing their rejection of his alleged statements.

Organizers said the protest was aimed at “defending the dignity of Islam” and warning against what they called “Western hypocrisy in Nigeria’s religious conflict.”

U.S. authorities have not officially responded to the reported comments attributed to Trump, which have sparked outrage among Muslim communities and mixed reactions across social media.

Analysts say the development underscores Nigeria’s delicate religious balance and the global implications of inflammatory rhetoric from international political figures.

One Feared Dead, Another Injured in Ghastly Accident in Agadagba-Obon By NigerDelta Voice Reporters, Ondo State Correspondent. 24th November, 2025 A tragic motor accident occurred earlier today in Agadagba-Obon, leaving one person dead and another severely injured. The deceased, identified simply as Help , reportedly lost his life after the vehicle involved in the incident somersaulted multiple times. Another occupant, identified as Philip Ojuri , sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Eyewitnesses said the accident happened suddenly, throwing the victims from the vehicle as it overturned. The cause of the crash is yet to be officially confirmed, but community members have called for caution on the increasingly dangerous route.
