Introduction
Grace is God’s unmerited favour—His love freely extended to undeserving humanity. Like a lifeline thrown into a stormy sea, God’s grace pulls us out of sin, strengthens us in trials, and preserves us until the end. Today, we explore God’s Abundant Grace—a grace that saves, teaches, empowers, and keeps.
POINT 1: THE FULL AND FREE SALVATION THROUGH GOD’S GRACE
Salvation is not earned; it is given freely because of Christ’s sacrifice.
Romans – We are justified freely by His grace through the redemption in Christ.
This salvation makes us stand even when Satan attacks.
Paul himself faced satanic fury:
2 Corinthians 12:7 – “…a messenger of Satan to buffet me.”
But grace preserved him, and grace will preserve you.
Oh, this sickness will not see your end; you will see the end of that sickness!
Grace gives victory over affliction, sin, and satanic arrows.
POINT 2: THE PERVERSION OF GOD’S MARVELOUS GRACE
Jude 1:4 warns that some people “turn the grace of God into lasciviousness.”
1. The Perversion of the Saving Grace
Grace does not give license to live carelessly.
Some claim, “We are in the dispensation of grace, so we can do anything.”
But Christ teaches holiness.
Mark 7:21 – Evil thoughts, immorality, and corrupt desires come from the heart.
When believers begin thinking and acting like the world, practicing the works of the flesh, they twist grace into something it was never meant to be.
2. The Peril of Continuing in Sin
Romans 6:1 – “Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid!”
To continue sinning deliberately is to despise the grace that saved us.
3. The Perdition of Superficial Grace
Fake, empty grace—grace without repentance, without obedience—leads to destruction.
2 Peter 2:1 – False teachers bring in damnable heresies and deny the Lord who bought them.
Grace is not a cover for ungodliness; it is a call to righteousness.
POINT 3: THE PRIZE OF GOD’S MATCHLESS GRACE
Grace is matchless because it was bought at the highest price—the sacrifice of Christ.
Sub-point 1: Matchless Grace Through Christ’s Sacrifice
Ephesians 5:2–4 – “Christ… hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God…”
Through His sacrifice, we receive a grace that:
- Transforms the heart
- Purifies the life
- Teaches us to walk in love
- Empowers us to live above sin
Grace lifts us, strengthens us, and prepares us for eternity.
Conclusion
God’s grace is abundant—full, free, and powerful.
Don’t abuse it.
Don’t pervert it.
Don’t neglect it.
Receive it.
Walk in it.
Stand by it.
And that grace will see you through every storm, every trial, every temptation—until you reach the eternal shore.
